Enjoy what the Spanish culture has to offer in this exciting program. Artistic Director of Flamenco Idaho, Kelli Brown, will lead a simple yet expressive instructional Flamenco dance accompanied by the musician Esteban Anastasio, who is the founding member of the Mediterranean modern music ensemble Tambalka. After the lesson we'll be treated to a Flamenco performance by Kelli with Esteban providing the live music on the outdoor deck. Enjoy four varieties of tapas, drinks, and the beautiful fifth floor view of downtown Boise during this special evening.
Ages 21 and up. Ticket price includes one complimentary beverage. Additional beverages available for purchase. Registration ends Wednesday, September 4th.

What to Expect: The instructional dance lesson segment of this program is for either indivduals or partners. Wear shoes that can be moved in. We will learn rhythms and palmas (clapping) for flamenco dancing.
Kelli Brown is the founder of Off Center Dance and Artistic Director for Flamenco Idaho and member of the dance project Cuadro Nuevo. Her flamenco journey has taken her to Spain four times including two grants for study in Granada. She obtained her Master of Arts in Dance from California State University, Long Beach and her MFA in dance performance and choreography from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
Mr. Anastasio has been playing guitar for over 25 years. Prior to moving to Boise, Esteban spent 15 years in Atlanta where he worked as a professor of guitar at Georgia State University and toured with various professional groups around the Southeast. Here in Boise, he is the founding member of the Mediterranean modern music ensemble Tambalka, the lead electric guitarist for the heavy metal tribute band Piece of Eddie, and also performs traditional flamenco and Spanish guitar in the dance project Cuadro Nuevo.
